I need to get my spouse who is an alien , an immigrant visa to the states, but we live in the UAE and i cannot find any immigration lawyers here, have any one gone through the same so can help me with that?

Actually, if you are a legal resident of the UAE, you should be able to file your petition directly at the US embassy in Abu Dhabi. You should certainly go there and ask. It would save a great deal of time processing the petition itself. In all probability, you won't need an attorney to help you with the forms.    Why use a lawyer?

   Just fill out the forms yourself: it isn't hard to do.

   The US Embassy in the UAE will tell you what documents and forms are required.
