Fact- the USA is the only society in the world that does not require the loser to pay the winner their legal costs for the suit; therefore, frivolous lawsuits and "win the lottery" judgements are unique to the USA. Trial laywers force doctorts to perform needless operations and procedures, jack up insurance rates, force medical groups to move or shut down, but all we hear from liberals is that health care costs need to be socialized. WHY DO LIBERALS SUPPORT TRIAL LAWYRERS?

They wanted free medical so if you destory the private medical with law suits, they can claim the private medical failed and that we needed socialized medicine.

Meanwhile the good Doctors will go to other countries to get a better pay, that is what used to happen here, but the economics of medicine has been so badly skewed with law suits the profitability here is lower. So as market theory dictates their will be a shift of the good doctors to higher paying countries.

I hope this helped.

We will no longer be able to get the cream of the crop because we will not be able to afford it. Look at the Canadian health care system it is an admitted failure.

Would require a good lawyer to assist me with wrongful accusations set by the UK Immigration against myself. Many thanks.

Hi, I am currently searching for good UK immigration lawyers, having had rejections as a working holiday maker and 6 month social visit pass to the UK, though I’m holding a Singapore passport. It’s quite an exasperting situation to be in, I’ve even tried cold calling big law firms here in Singapore and it appears that the best way to go about getting advice is via the migration experts / lawyers in UK. I have not yet engaged any to date, still getting quotes at this juncture but it seems like the base line is as follow:

1) Be prepared to pay for advice of any sorts. General discussions are FOC but does not resolve any immigration issues you may have

2) Look for OISC logo on the web page. This will prove that they are registered to provide immigration advice. The UK Border Agency recommended IAS from the UK for immigration services required. I personally have not turned to them at this juncture.

Hey everyone. I’m about to be a proud father with my girlfriend. I’m 21 and she’s 22 going on 23 soon. We live in Monroe, Louisiana and it sucks. It is boring, I’ve lived here my whole life and struggle to find things to do. The town is a dead end town. If you stay here - to make a decent living you must be a doctor or lawyer. Catch my drift?

Anyways, I’ve always told myself I wouldn’t raise my child in such a dead end boring city. I want to move somewhere where there’s always things to do, great opportunities and a safe town for raising a child. Myself, have never been to Austin - but my girlfriend has. She says it’s nice there, and I believe here, not to mention I’ve heard a lot of good things about Austin from friends and family.

My question is - Is Austin, TX a good town to move to if you’re raising a family? As far as schools, jobs, and activities go.
Also, I have not graduated college yet. I’m going to finish up in a year or so in Business or Art - if that helps at all..

Austin is a great place to raise a family and there is ALWAYS something to do here. I raised my two kids in the Travis Heights area because all 3 schools (elementary, middle & high) are all within a radius of one mile and within walking distance and therefore (most importantly to me) NO busing. They are good schools and there is a year round outdoor pool in the middle of Stacy Park which is in the center of Travis Heights. My kids loved it - we loved it. It is right near the SoCo district where they have street parties on the first Thursday (?) of every month. And just down the road to good old 6th Street! Of course Austin used to be cheap but no longer because of all the transplants. I feel it is safe - I keep my windows open almost year round whether I’m here or not and back in the 70s you didn’t even have to lock your door. Traffic is horrendous at all hours of the day. It never used to be this way but now it is rush hour all the time. You learn to cope. I almost forgot to mention our lakes! We have one beautiful lake - Lake Travis - for boating, skiing, sailboarding, swimming, etc. and one so-so lake - Lake Austin. Beautiful hill country - like an Oasis in the middle of a hot dry state! All in all, you can’t beat Austin. I wish you all the best and congratulations on parenthood!!

30% of what they win?

Plaintiff's lawyers may charge a contingency (i.e., a percentage of recovery on settlement or judgment) that is subject to an agreement. Sometimes, these percentages may exceed 30%. Also, costs (i.e., filing fees, expert fees, and deposition charges) are taken out of the plaintiff's recovery. Depending uppon the suit, attorney fees may be recovered (pursuant to statute or agreement) against the defendant. In that case, the attorney should consider those, as well.

Defense lawyers charge by the hour. Hourly rates differ from jurisdiction and complexity of the claims involved.

I need to get my spouse who is an alien , an immigrant visa to the states, but we live in the UAE and i cannot find any immigration lawyers here, have any one gone through the same so can help me with that?

Actually, if you are a legal resident of the UAE, you should be able to file your petition directly at the US embassy in Abu Dhabi. You should certainly go there and ask. It would save a great deal of time processing the petition itself. In all probability, you won't need an attorney to help you with the forms. Check out the embassy website at http://abudhabi.usembassy.gov/general_information6.html

Aren't excessive lawsuits the chief cause of out-of-control healthcare costs?

Scheiner is critical of Obama's pick for Health and Human Services secretary–Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, who used to work as the chief lobbyist for her state's trial lawyers association.

This is corporatist Fascism. To fight it we need you to go to http://www.larouchepac.com/ and get active in restoring our Constitutional Republic to the Hamiltonian Credit System based upon the General Welfare clause in The Preamble of our Constitution.
Tell Obama we don't need his Baby Boomer afterbirth yuppie British worshiping Genocide scam. And Mr.President,we do want our jobs back from overseas!

I planning on doing the crusade overseas either to NZ, Aus or Canada…
Could someone please recommend a decent immigration consultant/lawyer?
Thanks

I used "Migrate2oz", you can look them up on migrate2oz.co.za
As far as I am aware however, they only have offices in Johannesburg and Durban, I personally never met my attorney, all of our dealings were telephonic and via post so you could still use their services, the courier fees may just be slightly higher than what the cost was to me.
The English IELTS tests can be taken in Cape Town so that will suit you.

i need help with child support… not for me.. a close friend is having a hard time with it they are getting money out of his checks and he never went to court or proven that the child was his. he does not know what to do so anyone know a good family lawyer out there in austin…

in some states, if the man refuses a DNA test, the government treats it the same as if he took it and it came back positive. no idea if that is what happened in this case. I hope he finds someone good. I don't trust lawyers.
